Who know the true inventor of iPod? As a fashionable electronic product all over the world, iPod cause more attention from us. We want to know the inventor of iPod because he invented this successful product. Most people took it for granted that the iPod at Apple must be invented by Apple. Apple didn’t iPod’s inventor, because the similar devices have been sold for many years when the apple pushed out new product iPod in October 2001.The former produces weren’t popular, so Apple made many improvements which cause iPod simple and interesting. Although Apple play important role at iPod’s popularity, but they don’t its inventor. So who is the inventor?

There is a team who were responsible for the iPod’s research and development in 2001. They are

• Jon Rubinstein is a hardware engineering’s senior vice president
• Steve Jobs, who oversaw the project, is the company’s CEO
• Tony Fadell is an engineer who was former senior vice president of the iPod division
• Jonathan Ive is senior vice president of design
• Michael Dhuey was an engineer who is now at Cisco Systems

Who gave the name of iPod? It is also surprise us because he didn’t work of apple either. This man named Vinnie Chieco is a copywriter. His inspiration about the name iPod came form a film “Open the pod bay door, HAL.”

We also find other interesting things. Apple declared they use their own hardware and software to produce iPod and they didn’t cooperate with others. fThe truth is that they cooperate with PortalPlayer (no part of NVIDIA), a company made prototype device using an embedded operating system. There is another company named Pixo (now part of Sun Microsystems) which made the the first iPod interface for Apple. They played important role in the production of iPod, but they are not the first inventor. who invent iPod ?  We all have a strong desire to know.

Actually iPod has been invented by an English man named Kane Kramer. He has apply for a patent about a portable plastic digital music player and got the patent in 1979. When the patent expired later, he have no money to extend of term of his patent. It was recognized by Apple the role of Kane Kramer in a case about patent in 2008.
